Just in case the ice storm that rolled through here a little over a week ago wasn't enough fun...tonight we noticed flashing lights and were greeted with this when we walked outside...
Yes that would be a fire close to our house. Yes I watched it...then realized that it was a fire and pooed a little. The fire was located in the shopping center that was really really really close to our house. It was perfect for late night food cravings (Wing Zone and Subway), or for my nail polish needs (nail salon) and the all important need for beer (Manor Wine and Liquor).
In all seriousness though, we hope that no one is hurt and are glad that it looks like they have the fire as under control as possible.
So that's how we spent our Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Hopefully you all had a less eventful evening!
Happy weekend everyone! Hope you have been having a fun filled...or even relaxing day. I just wanted to check to report that the wine tasting was a success! So much so that we might make it a monthly occurrence.

Here is a sneak peak at what you'll be seeing this coming week...
I'm currently buzzing around my house with a vacuum, mop and duster getting ready for tonights wine tasting! Lets just say that I get a little freaked out when I have more than four people over to my house. My mind runs wild as I think of all of the things they might think when they walk into my home for the first time. This, of course, sends me into a cleaning frenzy. It's not pretty folks, and it's what I have been doing for the past 3 days.
But the good news is...that next week I will have all sorts of fun posts about the party, and all of the crafts that went along with it!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets to do something fun for Valentine's Day, whether it's a "I hate Valentine's" party or getting to do something with your loved one!
