Trying out breakfast

I weighed myself today...which was the first time I have done so in four days. I'm holding steady at my 186. Apparently lifting and carrying around a 30lb dog was not quite the workout I thought it was going to be. Though my arms do beg to differ.

I actually woke up earlier than usual today so that I could fix myself an omelet with spring onions and tomato. In all honesty I am not a morning person nor a breakfast eater. I've never liked how breakfast has made me feel if I eat before 9am (my stomach is never feels right). I want to be able to eat we'll see if I can work my way into eating without feeling sick.

I am excited about the fact that I bought a big tub of yogurt and I split it up into separate containers and added fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I also have granola to sprinkle on the top.

I'm trying really hard to be better about my snacking habits, because I know that is one of the things that is truly biting me in the butt.

I'm busy working on some things around the just maybe you can expect a post later about something I am working on!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  1. One thing to keep in mind; right after some physical exertion, your body is going to hold onto excess fluid in the areas that are sore to help them heal. Weigh yourself again *after* your arms get used to new types of exertion and then see if the scale has budged.

  2. If you are a night snacker, try brushing your teeth right after dinner (the whole nine yards - floss extensively, mouthwash, and 2 minutes of brushing). If you feel like snacking at night, you may be less likely to snack if you know you have to repeat the whole brushing routine again.

  3. Snacking is my biggest downfall. If I plan ahead though, like you did with the yogurt/fruit its worth the time it takes to do. Keep up the good work!

  4. @Funky Mama Bird: Thanks for reminding me that...I also just started on that special I am carrying a few extra gallons around! Oh to be a woman!

@Deconstruction: I'll have to try that, because it really is awful to eat right after you clean your teeth!

@Mary: Thanks! I'm loving the yogurt and so is my husband (shocker!), so this is something I'll keep doing!
